[DEVLOG] Week 8


Massive Content

This week, new pixel art enemies of darkness were added - now 10 in total!


Defeating an enemy now adds a lore entry to the diary.

Each can be either killed or spared, granting either active (if you want to spam click) or passive (if you want to AFK) upgrades!

I will not spoil much in this DEVLOG, so go and PLAY !!


What's Next?

The TODO list on the github page is getting longer every week, paradoxically. 

Too much ideas but too little time. Maybe someone want's to join me in building this project? 


This Week By Day

MONDAY

  • finish new enemies pixel art

TUESDAY

  • make first house event blue
  • fix swordsmen doing double damage
  • add new enemies descriptions

WENSDAY

  • refactor enemy scene into smaller scenes
  • diary event placeholders after defeating enemies (lore, execution, absolution)
  • planning of content for the future & todo list updates

THRUSTDAY

  • increment soulstone resource after defeating angel (last enemy)
  • make soulstone resource yellow
  • add particle label for soulstone gain
  • roman numeral utility, last enemy label (count total soulstone)
  • item that needs soulstone to craft (beacon)
  • beacon blue diary lore event placeholder
  • beacon unlocks The Starways tab
  • starway tab placeholders 
  • fix resource storage item highlight removed after resource updated

FRIDAY

  • improve new enemies pixel art
  • write lore for defeating new enemies

SATURDAY

  • substance upgrades ( TODO: different upgrades for each soul / essence ? )

SUNDAY

  • playtest the game
  • write devlog
  • add imperium diary event (ten billion houses)
  • add overkill to last enemy (scale soulstone gains)
  • extend roman numerals to dot notation
